Namibians also the target of xenophobia in South Africa
The wave of xeonophobia spreading around Soth Africa has hit nationals from Namibia, forcing some who are staying in the worst hit areas to vacate their homes.

One of the attacks took place in the informal settlement of Du Noon in Cape Town where about 30 Namibian nationals had to flee their dwellings after having been ambushed by a mob. According to reports the group was tricked into attending a community meeting at the local police station to discuss the xenophobic attacks and to put the foreigners mind at ease about the situatons in the townships.According to witnesses the attack ended at about 20h00 when the South African Defence force intervened. However, they were unable to return to their homes since it was being looted by men brandishing pangas, machetes and knopkieries(traditional weapon).

The xenophobic violence has in the past weekend spiralled out of control in the Western Cape province reaching such levels as was previously seen in the Gauteng province where the the wave of xenophobia started.

Namibia currently has more students registered at Universities in South Africa than at its only University, the University of Namibia, and the fear exists that these students may be targeted in similiar attacks.

South African are the thankless ppl. how they, I wonder, forget everything that Mozambique, Zimbabwe... did for them during the apartheid regime. Almost all the ANC leaders and combatants were exiled in Mozambique. but in return they are slaughtering them like anything. Kenyans, Zimbabweans, Namibians are all in the same line. this is strange!!! is do bite dog saying has any other apt sounding than this? no!!!!

Mugabe and Mebaki seems tied firmly in a nuptial knot. Both the hypocrites are hell bothered about ppl suffering at home. however, it's time for South Africa and Zimbabwe to get rid of them. Mbeki would rather see his own people suffer than admit that Mugabe's policies are killing thousands, largely because he believes that it's payback time for whites.

Xenophobia and the slaughtering in South Africa where south African are killing the fellow Africans. Neither the reason nor the hypocrisy can have any logic to defend the slaughter. if South Africans feel the immigrants are taking their jobs, i am sure South Africana are not in the level of immigrants in education, so why not let them develop your country? the US couldn't have been the US with out immigrants.
